The "VVV" is a project set up to help promote and encourage sheep rearing in our region of North-Carelia.
The project guarantees a supply of top quality wool for Karoliina Arvilommi's felting studio and plant dyeing workshops. It enable us to control the process from sheep to carded wool. We are now also dyeing wool with synthetic dyes. (Dystar Realan reactive dyes.)
We have a complete range of plant and synthetically dyed wool, as well as all the natural Finnsheep colours; White, Brown, Black and Grey. The grey variety, Kainuun Harmaa (Kainuu Grey) is a rare type of Finnsheep with less than a thousand head in existence. There are two sheep breeders in our area that specialise this variety.
